Thoughts on hypocritical love, reconciliation, balance, quarrels, counterpoints, mercy.

LET LOVE BE WITHOUT HYPOCRISY, abhor what is evil and cling to what is good; (Rom 12:9)
The fear of the LORD is to hate evil; (Prov 8:13)

EVIL SHALL SLAY THE WICKED and those who hate the righteous will be condemned; (PS 34:21)

For everyone who does evil hates the Light, and does not come to the Light for fear that his deeds will be exposed; (JN 3:20)

Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you;
For God Himself is kind to ungrateful and evil men;
Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful; (LK 6:35-36)

Love does not brag and is not arrogant, it is not provoked, it DOES NOT TAKE INTO ACCOUNT A WRONG SUFFERED;
(1Cor13:4)

God has not counted our trespasses against us, and He has committed to us the word of reconciliation; (2Cor5:19)

Do not rejoice when your enemy falls,
And do not let your heart be glad when he stumbles,
Or the LORD will see it and be displeased,
And turn His anger away from him; (prov 24:17)

For there will be no future for the evil man,
The lamp of the wicked will be put out; (prov 24:20)

A jealous and avenging God is the LORD,
The LORD is avenging and wrathful,
The LORD takes vengeance on His adversaries,
And He reserves wrath for His enemies.
The LORD is slow to anger and great in power,
And the LORD will by no means leave the guilty unpunished; (nahum 1:1-3)

By the MERCIES of God, present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God,
which is your spiritual service of worship; (Rom 12:1)

The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness,
but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance; (2 Peter 3:9)

There is no authority except from God, and those which exist are established by God.
Therefore whoever resists authority has opposed the ordinance of God,
and they who have opposed will receive condemnation upon themselves;
For it (worldy authority) is a minister of God to you for good. But if you do what is evil, be afraid,
for it does not bear the sword for nothing; for it is a minister of God, an avenger who brings wrath on the one who practices evil; (Rom 13:1,2,4)

The righteous will rejoice when he sees the vengeance,
He will wash his feet in the blood of the wicked.
And men will say, "Surely there is a reward for the righteous,
Surely there is a God who judges on earth!"; (PS 58:10)

Do not speak against one another, brethren He who speaks against a brother or judges his brother,
speaks against the law and judges the law; but if you judge the law, you are not a doer of the law but a judge of it.
There is only one Lawgiver and Judge, the One who is able to save and to destroy; but who are you who judge your neighbor?;
(James 4:11-12)

Keeping away from strife is an honor for a man, But any fool will quarrel; (Prov 20:3)

But I, like a deaf man, do not hear,
And I am like a mute man who does not open his mouth.
Yes, I am like a man who does not hear,
And in whose mouth are no arguments.
For I hope in You, O LORD,
You will answer, O Lord my God;
(PS 38:13-14)

You will only look on with your eyes,
And see the recompense of the wicked; (PS 91:8)

Hate evil, you who love the LORD,
Who preserves the souls of His godly ones,
He delivers them from the hand of the wicked; PS (97:10)

But I tell you that every careless word that people speak, they shall give an accounting for it in the day of judgment.
For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned;
(Matt 12:35-36)

Let your speech always be with grace, as though seasoned with salt, so that you will know how you should respond to each person. (Col 4:6)

You have to reconcile these things in your own heart. You can't embrace one part of Scripture and disregard the counterpoints:

God hates sinners (those who do iniquity) (Psalm 5:5)

God loved sinners so much as to sacrifice His own precious beloved son for us (John 3:16) (while we were still sinners, Rom 5:8)
